Admission rules for St Rose's Catholic Infants School

This is a voluntary aided mixed-sex primary school. This is an infant school. It is linked to St Cuthbert Mayne RC Junior School.

1. Catholic children looked after or previously looked after(children who ceased to be looked after because they were adopted or became subject to a Child arrangements order or special guardianship order).

2. Baptised Catholic children of Catholic members of staff (teaching and non-teaching) at St. Roses School who have been in post for a minimum of 2 years at the time of application and are living at the same address as the child.

3. Baptised children with a certificate of Catholic practice from Catholic families who will have siblings attending St Rose’s School at the time of entry.

4. Baptised children with a certificate of Catholic practice from Catholic families who will have siblings attending St Cuthbert Mayne School at the time of entry. This includes children in Year 2 at St Rose’s where there is a reasonable expectation that they will be attending St Cuthbert Mayne School in Year 3.

5. Baptised children with a certificate of Catholic practice from families resident within the local serving parishes

6. Other baptised children with a certificate of Catholic practice.

7. Other baptised children.

8. Other children looked after and other children who have been adopted (or subject to child arrangement orders or special guardianship orders) immediately following having been looked after.

9. Other children who will have siblings at St Rose’s School at the time of entry.

10. Other children who will have siblings at St Cuthbert Mayne School at the time of entry. This includes children in Year 2 at St Rose’s where there is a reasonable expectation that they will be attending St Cuthbert Mayne School in Year 3.

11. Other Christian children who are members of an Eastern Christian Church.

12. Other Christian children (member of a Church which belongs to ‘Churches Together in Britain and Ireland’).

13. Children from other faiths.

14. Any other applicants.
