Admission rules for St Dominic Catholic Primary School

This is a voluntary aided mixed-sex primary school.

Where there are more applications than the number of places available, places will be offered in the order of criteria 1-12 below. The Governing Body will give top priority within any criterion to a child eligible for: i) Pupil Premium funding or ii) Service Premium funding, or iii) to any child eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium funding who attends St Dominic Nursery, or iv) to any child eligible for Service Premium funding who attends St Dominic Nursery.

NB: if you're applying under Rule 3, read the notes that come up when you get your report. 


RULE 1. Catholic looked after children and Catholic children who have been adopted (or made subject to residence orders or special guardianship orders) immediately following after having been looked after

RULE 2. Baptised Catholic Children from practising Catholic families residing in the parishes of Harpenden, Redbourn and Wheathampstead, having a sibling at the school at the time of application.

RULE 3. Baptised Catholic Children from practising Catholic families residing in the parishes of Harpenden, Redbourn and Wheathampstead.

RULE 4. Baptised Catholic children residing in the parishes of Harpenden, Redbourn and Wheathampstead at the time of application, having a sibling at the school at the time of application.

RULE 5. Children who are baptised Catholics residing in the parishes of Harpenden, Redbourn and Wheathampstead.

RULE 6. Other Catholic children.

RULE 7. Other looked after children and children who have been adopted (or made subject to residence orders or special guardianship orders) immediately following after having been looked after.

RULE 8. Catechumens and members of an Eastern Christian Church.

RULE 9. Non-Catholic children having a sibling at the school at the time of application.

RULE 10. Children who are from other Christian denominations whose application forms have been signed by an appropriate minister and whose parents wish them to have a Catholic education.

RULE 11. Children of other faiths whose application forms have been signed by an appropriate religious leader and whose parents wish them to have a Catholic education.

RULE 12. Any other children.
