Admission rules for St Andrew's C of E VA Primary and Nursery School (Hitchin)

This is a voluntary aided mixed-sex primary school.

RULE 1: Children who are/were in public care.

RULE 2: Siblings - Children who have a sibling who will be attending the school at the time of entry.

RULE 3: Foundation Places - The Governors reserve 14 Foundation places a year, which will be allocated to pupils living in the Parish (Anglican) of Hitchin. Foundation places will not be allocated to children living in surrounding villages or towns even though they may worship in Hitchin Churches. Foundation places will be allocated to children whose families have been frequent worshippers for 18 months at Holy Saviour, St. Faith's, St. Mark’s and St. Mary’s, who are certified to be such worshippers by the clergy of that church.

RULE 4: Children whose home address, at the time of application, is within the area drawn on the map available from the school (or see their website).

RULE 5: Any other children.

Tie-breaker: distance from the school.
