Admission rules for St Peter's C of E VA Primary (Mill End)

This is a voluntary aided mixed-sex primary school.

RULE 1. Children in public care (Looked after children).

RULE 2. On very exceptional social or medical grounds.

RULE 3: Children who have a sibling at the school (Reception to Year 5) at the closing date for applications. 

RULE 4:  Child of a parent who is a regular worshipper of the Church of England at one of the three churches in the parish of Mill End, Heronsgate with West Hyde, attending at least once a month for two years. The churches are St Peter’s of Mill End, St Thomas’ of West Hyde and St John’s of Heronsgate and West Hyde. If you've just moved into the Parish, the two year period can include a former Parish. Evidence in the form of a letter from priest or minister verifying that the required level of attendance has been met must be provided. 

RULE 5: Child of a parent who lives within the parish boundary drawn on the map available at www.achurchnearyou.com.

RULE 6: Children of teachers employed by the school (see school's website to see the Rules in full).

RULE 7: Child of a parent who is a regular worshipper in the Church of England, at a Church other than at the Parish, attending at least once a month for a two year period. If you've just moved, then the period can include a former Parish. Evidence in the form of a letter from priest or minister verifying that the required level of attendance has been met must be provided.

RULE 8: Child of a parent who is a regular worshipping Christian of another denomination, attending at least once a month for a two year period. If you've just moved, then the period can include a former Parish. Evidence in the form of a letter from priest or minister verifying that the required level of attendance has been met must be provided.

RULE 9: Any other children who live closest to the school.

Tiebreaker: The tie-break will be distance from the school, measured using the straight line distance measurement provided by Hertfordshire CC. Please note that attendance at the nursery does not guarantee entry to the main school.
