Admission rules for Mount Grace School

This is an academy mixed-sex secondary school.

Specialist status: Business and Enterprise and Applied Learning

Rule 1: Children in public care. This also includes children who were looked after and then adopted, or subject to a special guardianship or residency order.

Rule 2: Children with a demonstrable medical or social need to go to the school. 

Rule 3: Children who have a sibling at the school at the time of application. A ‘sibling’ means the sister, brother, half brother or sister, adopted brother or sister, or child of the parent/carer or partner. The child must live in the same house as the sibling from Monday to Friday. Important note: you won’t qualify under this rule if the sibling is in their final year at the school. 

Rule 4: Distance. Children living nearest to the school.

Rule 5: Music. 10% of the places will be awarded to children with an aptitude in music, on the basis of the school's assessments. Priority will be given to children with the highest scores.
