RULE 1. Looked after children, or previously looked after children, from Catholic families.
RULE 2. Baptised Catholic children with a Certificate of Catholic Practice who have a sibling at St. Joseph’s school at the proposed time of admission.
RULE 3. Baptised Catholic children with a Certificate of Catholic Practice for whom St. Joseph’s is the nearest Catholic school.
RULE 4. Other baptised Catholic children.
RULE 5. Other looked after children or previously looked after children.
RULE 6. Catechumens and members of an Eastern Christian church.
RULE 7. Christians of other denominations whose application is supported by their Minister of Religion.
RULE 8. Any other applicants.
Tiebreakers: The governing body will give top priority within a category to an application where evidence is provided at the time of application of an exceptional social, medical, pastoral or other need of the child which can be most appropriately met at this school. In the event of a tie break places will be allocated in that category on the basis of geographical proximity. Distance from home to school is carried out using the straight line distance measurement provided by Hertfordshire County Council.
