St Albans Girls' School in top 100!

STAG's Headteacher, Margaret chapman,  received a letter from David Laws, MP, Minister of State for Schools congratulating the school on its excellent GCSE performance. The measure looks at the results of students nationally and are based on 5 GCSEs in Mathematics, English and the student’s three best other GCSEs. This places STAGs in the 100 top performing non-selective schools nationally.

The league tables have been published which shows the students’ progress in the top 7% of schools nationally. 5 good GCSEs (93% A*-C grades) places STAGs at the top of the performance tables, with only selective or private schools performing better.

The English Baccalaureate achievement of 69% places the school above all other non-selective and fee paying schools in the county. employment.

David Laws congratulated students, staff and governors on this superb result in continuing the drive towards high standards of educational achievement.
