Admission rules for Sacred Heart RC Primary School (Ware)

This is a voluntary aided mixed-sex primary school.

1. Catholic ‘looked after’ children and Catholic children who have been adopted or made subject to child arrangements orders or special guardianship orders immediately following being looked after.

2. Baptised Catholic children, from practising Catholic families, who are resident in the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ware,who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

3. Baptised Catholic children, from practising Catholic families who are resident in the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ware.

4. Baptised Catholic children, from practising Catholic families, who are not resident in the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ware, who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

5. Baptised Catholic children, who are resident in the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ware, who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

6. Baptised Catholic children, who are resident in the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ware.

7. Baptised Catholic children, who are not resident in the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ware, who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

8. Baptised Catholic children, from practising Catholic families, who are not resident in the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ware.

9. Other baptised Catholics.

10. Other ‘looked after’ children and children who have been adopted or made subject to child arrangements orders or special guardianship orders immediately following being looked after.

11. Catechumens and members of an Eastern Christian Church, who have a sibling at the school at the time of admission.

12. Catechumens and members of an Eastern Christian Church.

13. Any other children, having a sibling who will be attending the school at the time of admission and whose parents wish them to have a Catholic education.

14. Practising Christian children of other denominations whose parents wish them to have a Catholic education. Evidence of regular church or chapel attendance will be required from the appropriate minister or religious leader. This evidence should be in the form of a letter and should state that the minister or religious leader knows the applicant as a regular worshiping member of their faith community.

15. Any other children.

 

In the event of there being an over subscription within any

of the above criteria admission priority will be given first

to twins/ multiple births and then to those who live

nearest to the school.

 

In the event of the above criteria not being able to

distinguish between candidates within each category,

priority will be given to those who live nearest to the

 

school.
