This is an academy mixed-sex middle school.
Rule 1: Children who are/were in public care.
Rule 2: Medical or social need. Note: You must provide supporting evidence from a doctor, psychologist or other professional involved with your child. The evidence must relate specifically to the school, and demonstrate why it is the only school that meets your child's needs. Medical priority is given to children who have an exceptional illness or disability (for example, restricted mobility). Social priority is given to children whose education would be seriously affected if they did not go to a particular school.
Rule 3: Sibling at the school. Note: The sibling has to be on the roll of the school or linked school at the time of application. The older sibling must still be at the school when the younger child starts. This means that you won't be eligible if the older sibling is in their final year at the school (or linked junior school). A sibling means the sister, brother, half brother or sister, adopted/foster brother or sister, or child of the parent/carer or partner. The sibling must live in the same house as your child from Monday to Friday.
Rule 4: Nearest community or voluntary-controlled school (or other school/academy following the Council's Rules). Tiebreaker: Children who live nearest to the school.
Top tip: Not sure what your 'nearest' school is? Find out using Hertfordshire County Council's nearest school tool - https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/services/schools-and-education/school-admissions/research-a-school/find-a-school.aspx
Special note: Any child with a statement of special educational needs or a EHC Plan, that names the school, will be offered a place (because that's the law!).
