Admission rules for Hertingfordbury Cowper C of E VA Primary School

This is a voluntary aided mixed-sex primary school.

RULE 1. All Looked after children or children who were previously “looked after” but immediately after being “looked after” became subject to an adoption, residence or special guardianship order.

RULE 2. Children who have a sibling already attending the main school at the time of admission.

RULE 3. Children living within the parish of Hertingfordbury and eligible for Early Years Pupil Premium, Pupil Premium or Service Premium Funding.

RULE 4: Children living within the parish of Hertingfordbury.

RULE 5. Children who regularly worship with their families at Hertingfordbury Church and whose application is verified by the Vicar.

RULE 6. Children who regularly worship with their families at another Christian church i.e. one which is eligible for membership of Churches together in England and/or the Evangelical Alliance (application under this category must be verified by the Minister responsible at the appropriate church).

RULE 7. Any other children.

In the event of over subscription in any one of the above categories, places will be allocated on the basis of geographical proximity.

NOTES

Regular worship means attendance at a church service at least twice a month for the last 24 months at the closing date of applications. A letter from the vicar verifying this level of attendance must be included with the application.

In addition to the online or paper form, please complete a supplementary information form (SIF) for this school. SIFs are available from the school and at www.hertsdirect.org

The school follows Hertfordshire County Council’s policy on looked-after children and children with statements of SEN. Children who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs naming this school will be offered a place.
